Maison Kayser has been founded in 1996 with its first bakery in rue Monge, Paris, France. Since then, the founder Eric Kayser and his team of artisan bakers have been respecting tradition and enriching their creations by offering handmade, natural breads as well as Danish, pastries, cakes & French bistrot dishes in over 22 countries around the world.

The name “Rustique” stands for the very artisanal appearance and taste of this bread. « Batârd » means literally “Bastard”. This name comes from the fact that this bread is shaped halfway between a baguette and regular loaf bread.
Made of buckwheat flour, wheat flour and natural liquid leaven.
Thick, crunchy crust. Brown center with plenty of air pockets; long-lasting flavor and excellent shelf-life.
Perfect with grilled fish or cheese.
